Neighborhood

The Regis neighborhood is northwest of downtown and occupies the top corner of Denver County. Bordered on the south by I-25, the west by Jefferson County, the east by Federal Boulevard and the north by Adams County, Regis Denver real estate for sale is in a modest neighborhood that’s relatively tucked away.

Architecturally defined by ranches and split-levels in the east and bungalows, smaller Victorians and Tudors in the west, the area is largely single-family and populated with brick-and-siding homes. Aesthetically, the neighborhood varies greatly with well-manicured houses up around Inspiration Point Park, which overlooks Jefferson County all the way to the mountains. At the base of the park is a suburban section of ranch homes surrounded by small trees and thin sidewalks. In contrast, the eastern half of Regis is a more traditional Denver city-neighborhood with mature trees knitting a canopy over the wide streets and plots of grass separating the road from the sidewalks. As a side-note, the overall tone of the neighborhood is much more suburban-feeling in the west (particularly across Sheridan) and more city-neighborhood (Highlands or Regis, for example) in the east. Regis Denver real estate for sale is listed with the zip code of 80221 and 80212.

From Simple Food vegetarian grocery to Bikrams Highland Yoga and Tenn Street Books, Tennyson Street may look like Main Street in a small town but it has something for every health-food-enthusiast, Pilates junky and bibliophile. Mixed in with these newer shops are authentic Mexican restaurants and historical-hip venues like The Oriental Theatre. Lowell Boulevard also has its share of sweet spots, including the authentic Café Brazil, the centrally located Safeway grocery store and the ever-present Starbucks.

During those long days of summer it’s a perfect spot to lay out a blanket and watch the sun dip behind those hazy mountains.
